47% to 35%
A new Rasmussen Report poll published Sunday shows Congressman Ted Strickland with a large lead over potential GOP challenger Ken Blackwell.
Strickland's 12 point lead is his largest lead yet in Rasmussen Report polling. The polling also concluded that Strickland leads scandal-plagued Republican Jim Petro 44%-37%.
Ohio Governor Bob Taft continues to drag down his own party with a 16% approval rating, the lowest in the nation. A new SurveyUSA poll shows Taft's approval rating to be 14%.

be careful what you wish for...characterizing Petro as "scandal plagued," like he is something worse than the insane Blackwell, is just not going to resonate. Just paint Blackwell for the dangerous rogue that he is.
